Each year Mrs. Simon's friend and Central High School alumni, Dana Devillier Dake, adopts her class. She provides books for every student. This year she funded Mrs. Simon's DonorsChoose project to equip her classroom with a collection of biographies that give students a variety of people to read about, not just presidents and sport figures, but real people that started out little and dreamed BIG. As you can see from the pictures the students are captivated by the stories while partner reading.
